Surrender Services

Due to many factors, including the recent economic downturn, occasionally some owners feel they must surrender their dog or cat to Yavapai Humane Society. If you are considering relinquishment, we encourage you to take advantage of our Animal Behavior Consultants, who are members of our staff here to give advice on animal behavior and other resources we can provide. Please note, Yavapai Humane Society is often at full capacity and maintains a waiting list and does not accept walk-ins. Please call us ahead to check availability save your time (928) 445-2666.

Anyone observed abandoning an animal is in violation of ARS 13-2910.

Please keep in mind when making your donation that Yavapai Humane Society invests an average of $850 into each animal that enters our shelter in addition to $15/day for general care.
