Her knowledge and experience with pets, coupled with her logical and calm approach to problems that are encountered are an ideal combination.
Julie is pleasant & professional. She is a pleasure to deal with as she is conscientious in caring for my pet, it’s clear that she loves animals & enjoys what she does, and she routinely let’s me know how things are going or if there are any issues. She has gladly gone above & beyond when my cat had medical issues requiring that a prescription be picked up from the vet & started while we were out of town. It provides tremendous peace of mind knowing that while I’m not at home, my pet is receiving the same level of care and concern for their well being from Julie!
And my pets have always seemed to also really enjoy the “play” time that Julie spends with them as well!!

At first, I was very nervous about having someone come into my home to take care of my dog, Katie. In the past I had boarded her, where there were several other dogs. When she was younger, that was a good “fit” for her, but as she got older, it wasn’t the most optimal environment. I would see Julie’s car in our neighborhood, with her business logo on it, and decided to call on her for a meet and greet. I was very impressed by Julie’s professionalism and attention to detail during our meeting. She has taken care of Kate twice now, and both times she has done an impeccable job. The entire time I was away, I never once was worried about my Kate, which speaks volumes! Julie would text me only when she felt it was necessary for Katie’s benefit. Julie also took care of feeding my feral cats in the evening, which gave me peace of mind while away, and watered my plants as I had asked. Needless to say, it is so hard to find someone who is responsible and dedicated these days, especially when it comes to trusting someone to come into your home, and take care of your most precious possession! We moved to Prescott last year, leaving a pet sitter we had used for years and trusted completely, so finding a new pet sitter was a bit anxiety-producing. Julie and Doggedly Devoted have been everything we hoped for and more! She is totally professional with the humans, and totally loving and connected with the pets. She’s been able to care for our pets at the last minute, including one time recently when I had given her the wrong dates and only realized it at the last minute. On our last trip out of town, one of the cats had gotten a minor injury on his paw. Julie called me, took Macaroni to the vet and administered his medicine in the days following. She kept us in the loop the whole time. I can’t sing her praises enough!

Julie is insured & certified with accredited Pet Sitters International – an association which includes CPR, First Aid and other tested experienced knowledge for pet care. Her experience of 17 years in this area gives me comfort knowing Javalina, Cougars and other dogs won’t be a threat while out walking. I have 2 young, strong Dobermans that Julie handles with confidence and ease. She supports my positive training style while on leash. My dogs are always excited to be in her company. Julie is someone you can trust. Not only to take excellent care of your pets, but you can trust her in your home. Julie has looked after our animals for 14 years now (and we usually have 3 dogs). We have also had a rabbit, hamsters, turtles, a cat, and several fish). We were fortunate to find Julie. We had several other folks over the years look after our pets, but we never had the consistent, high quality care that she provides. You simply don’t have to worry about your animals while you’re away. You can be confident that Julie will do what she says she will do. Even if your pet requires some extra care (which ours do). As long as Julie is running Doggedly Devoted, we will never have to worry about our animals (when we’re away) again.

Julie with Doggedly Devoted is and has been the best petsitter we have ever had the pleasure of using not only during our vacations but when we go on day trips and need someone to come and walk the dogs for a potty break. We have left the dogs and cats for two weeks at a time and no worries at all. Julie is professional, dependable and punctual. Our animals love her and look forward to her visits, all the while staying at home where they feel most comfortable. I accidentally ran out of medicine for my cat and Julie went to the compounding pharmacy and got a refill all without even bothering me! For the first time I don’t worry about my pets nor do I feel guilty when I leave and that is worth everything!!

Julie has taken care of my 3 cats many times this year while I’ve traveled. I always have peace of mind and never worry, because I know that the kitties are so happy to see her. As two of the cats are 17, I’m glad that they are in Julie’s capable hands. Even Molly, who usually hides, has become Julie’s best friend and chats up a storm when she comes to visit. I was very impressed on our initial visit how thorough Julie was in documenting information about each cat and what to do in case of an emergency. And on each visit she always leaves me a nice note telling me what’s happened each day. Julie has also been very helpful in doing additional things like putting out the cans on trash day and bringing in packages. I feel that my house is in good hands with her as well. Her great service really allows me to enjoy my vacation!
